About Me
Wendy R. Frost, MS, WHNP-BC

My fascination with medicine began in middle school, when I took my first biology class. I knew I wanted to become a nurse. However, it wasn’t until my first nursing job, in a gynecologic surgery unit, that I realized my true calling: women’s health.

For more than 25 years, I have been focused on meeting women’s healthcare needs. This includes annual gynecologic checkups and birth control management, such as intrauterine device placement and removal. I offer preconception health checks, diagnosis and management of gynecologic conditions, genetic testing for cancer, and counseling for women experiencing symptoms of perimenopause and menopause.

I have experience as a nurse educator, providing training for new registered nurses and continuing education for all nursing staff. I have also worked as a director of perinatal education, creating programs to prepare women for childbirth and parents for life with a newborn.

I practice evidence-based medicine but also have extensive knowledge of complementary medicine, which I am happy to discuss with my patients when indicated. I am a member of the Academy of Women’s Health, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Nurse Practitioner Association New York State.

Miraculously, when I turned 50 I was living in the new world of menopause and was curious about all the bioidentical hormones I was just renewing for people all these years. I was miserable! My drive for only evidence based medicine led me to a new and continuous passion. I have been studying ever since to become a certified expert in the field. Realizing that men experience much of the same, my practice has come to include them as well. What a thrill it has been for me to watch people emerge symptom free...making them happy, healthy and LIVING LONGER!!
